It seems that you don’t always get free stuff if you work on a TV show.

The stage manager for Lipstick Jungle was caught stealing $30,00 worth of designer clothing. Apparently she had been Ebaying the items for some extra cheddar. Unluckily for her, employees of French design Sylvia Toledano caught her red handed and she was turned in.

Why in the world would you sell designer items instead of keeping them?

This is the season finale to the series and I can’t say I enjoyed it. While there were a few “Ahhh!” moments, I’m a bit sad that the season has ended so boringly.

Victory’s parents come to visit her after getting word of her engagement. Joe is putting his all into impressing them with expensive everything despite the fact that they prefer a quiet normal life. Victory urges him to stop especially due to his financial issues but he ignores it. Getting back to her parents, Papa Ford thinks that Joe isn’t the right guy for Vic. Victory gets pissed and tells Joe they don’t need a big wedding but Joe knows she does and he talks to Mama Ford about doing a small wedding in her hometown. Aw!

Finally an episode of Lipstick Jungle! Two weeks of waiting and we’re picking up where we left off!

Victory Ford has finally decided to propose to Joe by making a suit that has “Will you marry me?” sewn on the inside. However, as she attempts to get some Joe time, it turns out that he’s avoiding her. In the end we find out that Joe is going through financial troubles and doesn’t want Victory to get involved. Victory doesn’t care and still asked him to marry her which he agrees to.

Ahhh! This is probably the best episode so far this season. I was literally screaming (with joy) at the TV as I watched.

Things are finally looking up for Victory as she lands a huge deal for her line. While discussing ad details that involve a nude woman on a bed, she finds out that she will be that nude woman. She, of course, is shocked at the idea because she’s a bit prude; however, with some encouragement from Kirby (who was hired to be the photographer because he’s a friendly face), she manages to pull it off. This gives her the courage to confront Joe that she’s sorry, thankful and would have said yes. This ends with a happy story (hint hint, wink wink). The next day she tells Nico and Wendy she’s going to propose to him.

Is it just me or has it been awhile since we’ve seen a LJ episode? Stupid Thanksgiving but they’re back this week at a new time, 9PM Friday. So this week (after forever), the girls pick up after Thanksgiving.

Victory, now without her ex future husband, tries to go forward with her business by snagging a deal with some big shots. Unfortunately she needs help from Wendy who offers her, her help without question. Victory of course gets the deal and is happily safe for the time being. Obviously her part was really boring and really pissed me off that they didn’t talk about Joe much.

This week on Lipstick Jungle the girls are all together for once. They all decide to get away for the weekend after they find Victory in break down mode from hearing about Joe’s proposal. They go to some place out in the middle of no where hoping to relax but their city lives just won’t let them.

Before leaving; however, Wendy gets offered a job but wants the weekend to decide.

Upon arriving, they complain due to the lack of food and liquor in addition to not be able to use cell phones. However, things get worse when Nico and Wendy break it to Victory that they knew about Joe. Victory of course gets upset but later forgives them. For the rest of the time spent there, they all try to relax but continue to worry about their lives back home.

Nico calls Kirby for back up who brings beer. The two decide to secks in the meadows where afterwards Nico tells Kirby she wants to buy the land. He freaks out and tells her that he doesn’t want to stay here which brings tension between them.

Victory goes on a date with her massage therapist who makes her realize she would have said yes to Joe. This then leads to them going back home but end up with car troubles. During this time, Wendy finds out that Nico referred her but after some talk, Wendy forgives Nico and doesn’t accept the job.

Victory gets in touch with Joe who offers to save the day but to Victory’s demise. They finally talk but only to break up. Joe admits he can’t handle being around her anymore and gives Victory full rights to her business. Victory is heart broken but her friend console her.

This week on Lipstick Jungle…

Victory is doing well with her business and now has the opportunity to have a steady cash flow by doing a tennis line. She needs Joe’s help since she doesn’t know anything about tennis but he’s avoiding her completely. She asks his assistant what’s up but as Helen and Nico talk to Joe, he brushes it off. At the party, he shows up late but Victory is relieved nonetheless until he proves to be no help during the pitch. She confronts him but then he throws the Rodrigo situation in her face. She is then speechless and found home drinking a bottle of wine until Joe’s assistant comes for a visit. She tells Victory that Joe was going to propose to her and asks her to be much nicer to him; however, Victory had no idea.

Meanwhile, Nico gets to meet Kirby’s mom, Tina. Talk about awkward, Nico freaked out about the entire situation until she actually met the woman who was basically a mirrored image of herself. Tina pretends to like Nico but her plans are much deeper than that. She doesn’t believe Nico is right for Kirby and that she’ll end up tossing him away. This puts Kirby in the middle as Nico blurts out for Kirby to move in. Kirby gets mad at both women and tells Nico he can’t move in if their relationship isn’t as solid as they think. As Nico tries to explain herself, she tells him I love you which he also returns.

Wendy is finally moving forward with her project as Shane gets signed with a really hot manager (female). This makes Wendy insecure and she ends up joining Shane on his film project. This causes tension between them and finally pushes Wendy to tell Shane that Dennis kissed her. Shane of course gets angry after a 2 week delay but they are able to mend the situation after Wendy admits she feels hopeless.

Ahh! I missed Lipstick Jungle! I figured since they already showed an episode this week, they would wait till next Friday to show the next. Thank God for online streaming.

So in this episode, Victory is putting on a runway show for the debut of her store and there’s a whole lot of drama. She’s basically freaking out throughout the entire time especially after Joe tells her that she’s spending a lot more than planned thanks to Dalia. Victory confronts her but it ends brutally with Dalia being fired and seeking vengeance. Victory is then left in a pile of trouble as Dalia attempts to sabotage her show. She then calls Rodrigo for backup. Meanwhile, Joe asks Nico for Victory’s ring size and visits a Cartier. The show goes well as she pulls things to together with the help of the people around her. In the end she thanks everyone especially Rodrigo which puts Joe in dismay. Rodrigo and Victory share a kiss afterwards but both decide its better not to be together.

Nico runs into Megan again who already had her baby. She feels guilty and buys her a baby present. After dropping off the gift, she realizes how much wants a baby herself but doesn’t make decision just yet. Meanwhile, Kirby confronts Nico on how hard he works just to keep up with her lifestyle but the resolve it. Kirby then drops the bomb that his mother is coming into town and that he wants Nico to meet her.

Wendy attempts to get a movie produced but it turns sour due to the new VP of Development at Paradore Pictures. After helping Victory with press, she finds herself with a script from one of the copiers which turned out to be amazing. She vows to make it into a movie and even start her own production company.

Halloween episode!

So in this week’s episodes, Victory dreams of Joe falling to his death after climbing a mountain. She becomes worried and eventually warns him. When she does; however, Joe is actually preparing for to climb a mountain because he’s afraid he’ll die at his age like his father. Regardless of her warning, Joe tells her he’s still going and that they’re not friends. Victory takes it hard and it continues to haunt her. In the end, Joe comes to Victory (after canceling his trip) to confine in her about his worries.

Nico also battles with her significant other as Kirby struggles to make ends meet. She asks to take him on a trip to Aspen but he can’t afford it so he turns from struggling photographer to paparazzi to pay for the trip. Meanwhile, Nico is asked to bring on a difficult magazine owner that’s a selfish, womanizing pig but Nico manages to handle him and prove to Griffin that she can do her job well.

Now a housewife, Wendy begins to struggle with the absence of her husband. She confines within an old friend after Sal is offered her old job. The two bond together which then leads to a kiss. Wendy, completely uncomfortable, pushes him away and confines within her friends. She admits she regrets what happened and misses her husband but also that she didn’t NOT like the kiss. The girls reassure her that it was okay because nothing else happened. The episode ends with her calling Shane to tell him that she loves and misses him.

Since I only caught up recently, here’s the short summary on what’s been going on, on Lipstick Jungle, my new Sex and the City.

Victory has just broken up with her millionaire boyfriend, Joe, who is replaced by her sweet contractor, Rodrigo, who is also a father. Joe who attempts to make Victory jealous with a Russian beauty but it backfires in his face as it pushes Victory even closer to Rodrigo.

While Victory dances between Joe and Rodrigo, Nico dances between her recently deceased husband and her young playmate, Kirby. As if that wasn’t enough, she has to deal with her husband’s own young playmate that is pregnant and broke. Nico sympathizes with her after much consideration due to her own stolen youth. Her job also doesn’t make her life easier as this new boss is breathing down her neck.

Wendy, on the other hand, pushes her husband back into his music days under a different name to avoid favors; however, she lets it slip which her husband later finds out and becomes upset. Also the star in one of her new films is diagnosed with a brain tumor. As a favor to him, she forges the insurance but later is caught after the star passes resulting her joblessness.
