It seems that you don’t always get free stuff if you work on a TV show.

The stage manager for Lipstick Jungle was caught stealing $30,00 worth of designer clothing. Apparently she had been Ebaying the items for some extra cheddar. Unluckily for her, employees of French design Sylvia Toledano caught her red handed and she was turned in.

Why in the world would you sell designer items instead of keeping them?

Ty has just made the cutest new additions to their TyGirlz Collections: Sweet Sasha and Marvelous Malia.

Sound familiar? Well you should, they’re Obama’s little girls! The plushies are modeled after the 7 (Sasha) and 10 (Malia) year olds. However, the misses disapproves of the dolls stating:

“We believe it is inappropriate to use young, private citizens for marketing purposes.”

Have to say I do agree. While they are model citizens for young girls (unlike Bush’s girls), that doesn’t mean you can cash in on their popularity.

Hello Kitty has done it again only this time she’s not as cute and cuddly.

Someone with a sick sense of humor put the famous Japanese albino cat on top of a cake while being impaled by a butcher knife. I have to say it is quite colorful but so much that I lost my stomach.

And I’m not talking about “LAN parties”, not really at least.

Kotaku writer AJ Glasser wrote a step by step walk through on how to throw a successful gamer party. Honestly, I didn’t think there was much to it but he does make out some good points such as

Do: Serve things that can be eaten quickly with one hand – usually during a loading screen (pizza rolls, hard candies, gamer grub).
Don’t: Serve anything that will leave stains on your controllers or splooge all over the floor (Cheetos, pizza, mochi ice cream balls).

I’ve never thrown one myself but I think for my 20th birthday I will have a “LAN party”.

John Hagel and John Seely Brown at Newsweek has put out the word that WoW has built a path of innovation for the work environment. Sounds a bit crazy but they have an interesting angle.

They’re looking to incorporate common MMORPG (massive multi player online roll playing game) features like experience system, custom dashboard that display real time employee progress, and team building tips that are used in player created guild structure of the title.

Not exactly what I thought when I first read the article but it is interesting. On the other hand, WoW has made me more productive as I try to finish a lot of work early so I can have more time to play at the end of the day.

I had no idea what to do this week so I asked my boyfriend and he said (go figure) sports. While I’m not as fanatical as some, I do like sports.

I played a few in high school and absolutely loved it (volleyball and soccer). It’s such a shame that I had to grow up and stop playing. For a little girl, I was pretty aggressive.

Anyways, here are my favorite male sports players. Note that they’re based more on skills than looks. Ha!

Oh snap, it’s finally out. The patch we’ve all been waiting for that’ll let you open clams while you’re riding a vehicle, sitting, mounting, stealthed and invisible.

Okay that’s not really the special party but Blizzard did fix a few things in this patch in addition to a sexy new interface. I am now able to make death knights on any server which is pretty freaking bad ass but don’t expect me to change servers any time soon.

Who would have known Blizzard would be so Asian friendly?

Playing WoW yesterday, I noticed that there are Lunar Festival Emissaries in all the major cities. By talking to them you’ll get a quest to go talk to other emissaries which then leads to more quests involving fireworks and killing a demon.

It was completely unexpected and while they didn’t go all out like they would for Christmas and New Years, it’s still a nice touch.

Today in Asian culture is “Lunar New Years” aka “Chinese New Years“. It’s basically New Years only with more perks.

For starters, all the youngins receive money in red envelopes as a sign of good fortune. Also we gamble and party for 3 days straight (1st day with family, 2nd with relatives and 3rd with friends), sometimes even more depending on who you talk to. Did I mention there’s also lots of food?

Anyways for those of you confused about Chinese New Years, the new year date various each year dependent on the lunisolar calendar. The holiday will usually fall on the 2nd new moon after the winter solstice.

If you’re still confused, wiki is your best friend!

So happy Chinese New Years everyone or chuc mung nam moi (Vietnamese)!
